What is it's approximate route? From west of International Falls, Minnesota southwest to Brown Valley on the Minnesota/South Dakota border, then northwest across North Dakota east of Jamestown and south of Minot to the County of Divide. From here the divide goes north into Canada just south of Medicine Hat, then southwest into Glacier National Park to Triple Divide Peak. On this peak a drop of water splits three ways, west to the Pacific Ocean, northeast to Arctic Ocean, and southeast to Missouri River and on to the Atlantic Ocean.
