Park Name Origin:
The American merchant
and manufacturer Francis Cabot Lowell (1775-1817) introduced the power
loom and the integrated factory system to American cotton textile manufactures in
Lowell.

Nashua River Rail Trail is a
multi use trail built along the site of the former Hollis branch of the
Boston and Maine Corp. railroad and extends from Nashua, NH to Ayer, Mass. The Blackstone
River Valley National Heritage Corridor has numerous sites to visit as well as enjoy the
