"friend" or "ally."

2nd in the nation. The highest point is Guadalupe Peak east of El Paso at 8749 feet above

level. Texas has over 50 legislative designated capitals of something ranging from
"The Alligator
Capital of Texas" in Anahuac to "The Jackrabbit-Roping Capital of Texas" in
Odessa to "The
Wine Root Stock Capital of Texas" in Denison. The state has two great scenic areas
that should
not be missed. Palo Duro Canyon which is a mini grand canyon full of majestic vistas and
Big
Bend National Park which stretches about 180 miles along the Rio Grande separating
the United
States and Mexico.
