The 56 national park series of state quarters began in 2010

The program adds quarters for the most prominant National Parks within the 50 United States and 6 American Territories. These will be issued five per year starting in 2010. The first park quarter was for Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas. To date five park quarters have been issued and five more
will be issued starting in January 2011.
